Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food 观音斋

It's been a long while since I visited the stall, being lured away by the various new vegetarian outlets around the region. Decided to visit it to see what's new to try there.
Its Ngian Toufu stall moved over to beside its economical rice section and special of the day is Prawn mee which I had not tried before. I regretted when it was served as it did not look appetising and with the gluten duck pieces which I don't fancy.
However, trying the soup base, I was really impressed!
It has the replicate mild prawn soup taste & the thick meehoon & noodles were different from most stalls', they were smoother in comparison. And though it was called Prawn noodles, they did not have any mock prawn ingredients except for the prawn soup taste.
I didn't mind as they replaced with many pieces of the beancurb roll that I loved. But sad thing is price also increased to $2.50 vs the old $2. The comfort is that it is still reasonable considering the hugh portion. :-)

It is located at corner coffee shop at Blk134 Geylang East Ave1, 2nd bus stop from Aljunied Mrt. Opposite Tan Swie Hian Museum.
